If I had to guess, tourism would be up because COVID calmed down a bit so people are a bit more willing to travel now. I don't see the connection to BTC

It's all pretty negotiable. I pay $69/mo for gigabit fibre through Telus.

I'm on Telus gigabit fibre, for $69/mo. I've never once had issues with throttling, even when I was on Shaw (the 300mbps plan). What kind of throttling are you getting and in what use cases?

Do you think the author should not have been liable if he had implementing what Michelle was suggesting?

Yeah I think the difference is that twitter will take action against people who issue credible threats. Parler explicitly did not, in the name of "free speech".

I completely agree with this - why is freedom of speech even coming up? You couldn't say this stuff in real life on a street corner, why should it be protected online?

The layout of that house is so strange. Why would it be designed like that?

In the paper: Our study benefits, in part, from a law that allows nonprofit organizations to retransmit over-the-air television signals without charge.

Is there any actual information on how much money the video made? It doesn't really say much.

That's not a bug. It's some kind of feature by Symantec that can be disabled in the settings.

I don't mean it fits the CEOs interests, but rather the people who spread this around.

Since when is a CEO of a coal company an authority on environmental impact? I suppose it's whatever fits someone's agenda. Reminds me of that video of the 'Weather Channel CEO admitting climate change is not real'. I don

I'm not sure it's so much pro-cop as it is anti-asshole. The guy in the video was acting like a total turd, and that's not cool.

Since Beall's list is nowhere to be found, is this even a reputable journal? I can't find any information and the website looks very amateurish.

I don't understand how this is a paper. It's just two dudes in a chatroom and the 'authors' felt it was necessary to format it with LaTEX? Also, the title has a spelling error in it.

As far as I can tell, it doesn't; they don't support blocking SSL traffic. Makes it kind of useless, I think.
