That's partially attributed to the fact that .NET is a truly batteries included solution and quality of it is generally good enough that there is no need for second or third alternatives for every basic thing.

I have developed .NET solutions on Linux over 8 years now (and about 10 years on Windows before) and would say the quality of development in Linux is even better than in Windows today. Sure you can't use Visual Studio in Linux, but you

Why C# makes it worse?

In your c# sample full namespaces are unnecessary and will add only noise in this context.

If we look at .NET vs Java, then yes, Microsoft is better. Microsoft may charge for some of its dev tools (Visual Studio etc), but .NET itself is and was always totally free.

And yet, Java is trying desperately to fix its generics now with project Valhalla (although value types are their main goal), but it's almost impossible to do without major breaking changes. Without reified generics there's major

It may also be related to the fact that .NET until now does not have any GC with super low latency pauses, but there are interesting development going on recently regarding this - https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/

Sorry, but there is absolutely nothing you gain with Node.js here in server side at least, it's clearly inferior choice for this job. You loose performance, type safety and in about two weeks there are hundreds of security issues foun

And you are not using Typescript either, because it's a Microsoft language? Also .NET is open source over a decade already and c# was free and open from the beginning (Mono implementation).

If you want to build a SPA, you would choose Vue, React, Angular or any other currently popular JS framework for front-end anyway. However, for a traditional web application, what's wrong with using ASP.NET Razor? Also, for desktop de
