I can definitely see if it was jammed into a bag or wound tightly (got to be a pretty fine line there!) how it could happen, similar to how if I jam my IEM earbuds into my bag all the time I'd break one in no time I'm sure. But at

Out of interest are you the standard 240V or in the USA with the 110V chargers? Also, again just out of interest - are you in an especially humid or hot climate? I'm just trying to think of any 'extremes' that may cause consi

Yes and I don't disbelieve you either, I'm just wondering if it's perhaps something like interaction with a specific file system or disk scheduler that might be causing a block level locking issue, it's a bit of a stab i

I'm quite excited about this, as a concept a decentralised twitter meets diaspora is something that I'd love to see popularised.

I find Atoms memory usage (and leaks) combined with odd periods of strange input latency so aggravating that I end up going back to sublime text 3 every time I try it. It just 'feels' so javascripty - like a web app, not like a sn

Of all the MacBooks, MacBook Pros and idevices I've had over the years (including my still running perfectly Jan 2011 MBP) I've never had a single issue with any power cord tearing / breaking or power supply even fail as far

Exactly, I find myself needing to use this quote all too often but it is a wonderfully well considered statement on product engineering.

We replaced all our AD servers with SAMBA4, so much more reliable and while AD/LDAP is still a nightmare of an architecture having it running on standard Linux servers means it's much easier to monitor, backup, snapshot, introspec

We have a great deal of repos on our GitLab private server and even a major upgrade only results in 2 minutes or so of downtime. What spec hardware are you running this on?

Aka 'Go gets its wide-on', in all seriousness though, collaborative online editors have a lot of potential, still yet to find one that's fast, with good git integration and supports puppet DSL / ruby.

Opt-out of analytics should be illegal, analytics and data collection should always be opt-in and clearly described to users. This is worse than the recent homebrew analytics cafuffle.

Just like it's always been with chargers - it still does "just work" but the correctly powered charger will charge much faster, no different to previous MacBooks, iPhones or iPads.

My thoughts exactly, same old story since the start. Doesn't mean people shouldn't try though - competition and questioning your purchases are both very wise things to do, but to make hugely over generalised statements based on es

While I obviously feel the same way, I'd take a step back and see what Brew's response is to this thread / the backlash of what people want / don't want, because it has, overall been a good thing of macOS.
