That's what I get for phone posting. Thanks for pointing it out you two!

I'd do it almost the same but without the variable. Note: the long shebang is for using on Termux, PC users should change it to something like #!/use/bin/env sh. #!/data/data/com.termux/files

You've never referenced documentation while writing or programming anything?

Every now and then I goof around with FreeDOS. Now that 1.3 out it looks I will be doing it again. Some features are missing on newer hardware due to the lack of driver support (notably, audio). If you want to run it on bare metal, you can

For install? Probably. I used a USB floppy to transfer files, but it did have to be connected at boot. Obviously, not a problem for installation.

You don't need Flatpak on FreeBSD. Flatpak was created for a problem that doesn't exist on FreeBSD. There are not a thousand different FreeBSDs with varying kernels and software installed.

I've done exactly this and it works well. However, I've tweaked a couple things over time. 1. Tasks not completed may carry over to the next day, or a backlog if the next day already had something planned in my calendar. 2. Minima

I have had concerns about this possibility. Would it be possible for a miner to reject transactions containing this crap?

Apache with server side includes (SSI) will allow you to quickly and easily template websites without adding new tools or processes. I find this to be a decent balance between a static site and DRY. I don't care for most static site ge

I agree. I would really like the same. Komodo IDE may help with this, but I haven't tried it. I usually end up in vim due to habit.

Sounds like a gap TCL could fill. The syntax is simple and consistent, a developer could create packages that a non-developer end user can use as commands, and it could be wrapped with GUI code that runs on Windows, Mac, or Linux.

Very neat and similar to a project I am starting for packet radio. I went further with the dictionary concept so that it contains common data. This way, your message contains only a few dictionary "pointers" (integers in base 64).

Thanks for answering. What is your favorite programming language to work in? If you could use any language you wanted, what would be your top pick?

I am very interested in how blind developers work. I have been pondering how to make computers and development more accessible. If you don't mind: Do you have preference between CLI, TUI, or GUI dev tools? Is highly symbolic code harde

Hm, I guess keeping my code line length capped at 80 for all these years may have beneficial. Makes me wonder if there is any correlation to preferred line length and choice of programming language, job considerations aside.

Presumably not, it depends on your system. Some people symlink sh to bash.

I was thinking about this too. If I had valuable information, why would I pay you to give it to you? This deincentivizes the free sharing of knowledge through email. Most people will opt for cheaper and more efficient communications methods

I like where you are headed with this. I’ve put some thought into this recently and I’ll post the condensed form. I believe you are correct, in a sense, that as long as there are minds there will be text. However, I believe it should be con

You might be able to put something together using Raspup or Ultibo. IIRC, both should be able to run on all Pi models. Both are pretty lightweight, simple, and they could be a good base for building what you are looking for. Raspup is a Pup
