Do you think most people care about this? If it did we would have a completely open architecture by now with lots of products already on shelves. But we don't, because nobody cares.

You're not following the correct people. I agree it's sad that almost everybody involved with tech is a die-hard liberal :P I'd love to get my tech news from Twitter but I simply don't like to be told how to think regard

That's actually one of my concerns. As a heavy Twitter user for like 8 years (I spend at least one hour a day in that app) it is obvious to me that those involved with Twitter do not use the product at all.

It's sooooo annoying to hear people trying to get you into an alternate platform. app.net, gab.ai, identi.ca, etc. Seriously just stop. You're just annoying.

Copying files... how? Emulating a FAT32 disk? That sucks. exFAT? Patents. MTP? Sucks. So how?

They are doing similar stuff already, not that bad, but it's getting worse every month. It was always a chronological feed, but these last years they just shuffle thing around when they see fit.

Google thinking webpages can be as good as native applications is a detriment to the UX.

That's funny. I use 1.0.0.0/24 for my home network. Perhaps they're doing something similar.

It's the same as in IPv4. If the user has a static IP address, in IPv4 you ban a /32 (i.e., one address, his own). In IPv6 you'd have to ban the entire range allocated to the user, usually a /64. (edited) If the user has

Well, I don't use cloud services. But that does not mean that the only reason I use Spotify is because I don't have an external IP address at home. That's silly.

I have like 80 KB/s of upload. Having an external IP (which I do) does not solve anything for me.

Spaniard here. The only major ISP that has tried to enable IPv6 is Orange. They did so by putting people in a DS-Lite connection. This is, CG-NAT for IPv4 and real IPv6 connectivity. Result: now everybody thinks "IPv6 sucks because it

Probably the software requires an update to support IPv6 addresses and they simply know it's not worth the hassle.

It is crazy to use your real name to comment on stuff. I limit my real name to GitHub, and even there I always try to comment on stuff like a robot would.

The "smaller community subs are great" meme doesn't work here. All subs about politics are rubbish.

That's what splitting the bill means. You don't pay "for the bandwidth", you pay for a link between two ISPs (Google and Verizon). The bill between then should be split, otherwise the traffic will have to pass through so

People streaming HD video from cell towers is simply crazy. I'm sure that even supporters of net neutrality understand that a solution must be found. Caps can't help with that in highly populated areas. The radio spectrum is simpl
