What gender? The result of steroids is beneficial to how most men and women would prefer to look. Leaner and more defined bodies.

I don't know about estrogen but I am really surprised that 98% usage are from males. Anecdotally I see an increase usage of steroids in women. The fat burning is incredible.

10 years ago we had 3 months straight of ~110 in Austin. Downtown was a hellhole with all the concrete. But even in 110f I was fine with walking the greenbelt in the shade.

At age 10 I hopped on every BBS I could that wasn't long distance. Then I did a few free trials of AOL. At age 12 I got unlimited internet for $20/month where I spent all my free time on mIRC. I learned to code making mIRC bots, t

The feeling I got of IRC in the mid 90s is that it was more centralized than it appeared. Most of the server operators hung out in the same channels.

It doesn't sound different than working anywhere else for an extended time. You get used to a certain way of doing things.

Github is a great service. However, it is a bit like being in a happy marriage but knowing your spouse is going to murder you in a few years.

I don't see how GDPR can't force them to remove all comments? Additionally, there is no reason Europeans can't own multiple accounts and that accounts can't change hands. So a single European should be able to delete tho

I wonder how much better my GPA would have been if I had troubled bowel movements. Unfortunately I'm in and out of the bathroom in about 2 minutes.

"Answers are subject to be filtered or manipulated according to a hidden set of rules by unknown corporate or government agendas" When was the last time you tried to make a wiki edit on a popular page?

It doesn't take an intellectual giant to realize they are organizing on Discord.

by mrits 3y ago
It isn't irony at all. Reddit gets almost zero revenue from the sub organizing it. People aren't protesting Reddit in general, but a policy of reddit.

How is it much different that wikipedia or just about any other source of information?

Very few people need seat belts. But if you don't have one on when you do you are going to have a bad time.

Absolutely. My point was that it seems more likely we'd do it without AI before AI gets a chance. Once AI gets to that level we will also have AI helping to defend against it though.

I find it much more likely we will be wiped out by weaponized biology long before AI becomes a threat. Though I'm pretty surprised we haven't already killed ourselves from it.

It's really insane how if I tried to buy the same house I bought 5 years ago my payment would be right under 3x. At 40 it would be almost cheaper for me to retire than to move -- especially from Austin to California.

I'm heavily invested into Rust and enjoy the language immensely. Bureaucracy and slow moving is something I'd prefer at this point. There are only a handful of things I actually want added to the language.

While I'm not sure why you moved their recently I can see why you wouldn't have noticed how nice it used to be. As I said, it already started the decline a decade ago.

In some ways things are a lot harder. In the early 90s I was able to borrow Turbo C from my brother. He gave me a pointer to video memory and I could use math to draw stuff. I was making stuff in a few minutes.
