Everything used to be just an HTML5 canvas, but since Automattic made a canvas renderer in Node I was able to use that: https://github.com/Automattic/node-canvas

Thanks - I think the interesting part is converting the animations to mp4 which I do by loading the animation engine in node and using node-canvas to render each frame. Then I stitch those together and add sound with ffmpeg. I didn't u

Nice work. I think your annotations of startup school lecture videos are useful. I'm also doing video startup in startup school, but mine is for making original animated cartoons/meme-mashups: https://www.superanimo.co

I made a cartoon maker that allows the mashup of memes: https://www.superanimo.com/ I'm making a bet that the future of memes are short videos that tell more of a story than a simple image macro. Hopefully I can turn

Have money again? Getting people to use it for free will probably be a challenge... getting people to pay may be nearly impossible. Here's my animation platform that gets no traffic as an example: https://www.superanimo.com

I'm also working with ffmpeg and am wondering what I'm doing wrong. I have a HTML5 canvas animation editor, and I use node-canvas to convert the canvas to images at 30 fps and then attach audio at the correct times. ffmpeg takes

They also have deals with twitter/Facebook so if you use a GIPHY URL it's embedded in the post. All other gif hosts get a static image.

http://www.superanimo.com - HTML5 cartoon and gif editor I didn't have a plan to monetize it, but I thought it would become a startup and I'd have users and funding by now. I've worked on it about 5 years so far.

I average about 14 hours per week on my animation platform. It took a few years to have a release: http://www.superanimo.com The difference for me was when I got a nights and weekends membership to a coworking space. Since I&#

I wish I knew about EmailOctpopus before I built an in-house solution at work to save $3k per month. Maybe you just need an explainer animation to market your service? Here I made one for you using my startup: http://www.supera

http://www.superanimo.com HTML5 cartoon and gif editor. It's a little buggy, but I'm trying to clean it up and turn it into a hybrid mobile app. I did not apply to YC this time.

Give your website more credit. I mean what do people do after learning they are fat and feel depressed? They buy crap to feel better. Maybe your website is exactly what advertisers need.

Having those boxes delivered really saves a lot of time for me. The next step in time-saving should be automating the cooking with robots, not accepting that because we have no time we should take the pleasure and variety out of food. In a
