Second opinions are also great to get - I could be wrong about the person, or maybe we didn't click. I like interviews to be like secret ballots: * write down what you think about the person without any external influence * then share

He is wrong about jazz, too. It doesn't suck (same with Zappa, post-Mothers). I try not to judge him too much on this, but it colors my opinion of his opinions a bit - what musician hates jazz? Then again, I am not a fan of Shellac o

I should have mentioned that precedence rules are pretty wacky. I wish that in the languages I have worked on that I could just ignore precedence and use parens, but operator precedence is expected.

I have written a few languages here and there. Hope this helps. They are all separate parts, and you can do them in any order you want. I like to think of the language as two parts - syntax and features. How do I want the language to look

Lots of the puns also come out when spoken with a Southern accent. Add a drawl and "hour" sounds a lot like "whore". And then he drew a dial from his poke, And, looking on it with lack-lustre eye, Says very wise

For a manager, I agree. An architect should write the most complicated, not the least complicated, part of code. This is assuming that the architect is the most experienced developer on the team. This doesn't include paper architects

I use soap all of the time on mine. I also scrub it off. Just throw some oil on after. Been using it for years. Cast iron is a lot less maintenance than people think. I cook food too hot for Teflon, scrape the crap out if other pans, and

I am happy with mine. I ever thought of it much until I read a few articles written by people who want to spend more time messing with their pans than cooking on them. Using cast iron is simple. Take a pan, throw in some oil, cook, clean,

I grew up in Houston. East Texas is very different from the rest of Texas. The accent, food, culture are all much more stereotypically southern than north, west, central, or south Texas. Even the BBQ is different - you put sauce on everyt

Yup. It seemed like they were just having a good time with the journalist. Isn't there an actual real-life game where someone is sent from person to person to get help, eventually landing back at the first person?

I bite my hand. If there is no pain, then I am dreaming. My mom had once told me that she had a bad dream where someone grabbed her, and she bit the person's hand and it was like biting through dough. One night, during a dream, I rem
