By begging for more donations, just like last time they burned through what was it, $100K, without anything substantial to show for it?

Taking it public like this comes across as really petty and childish.

Bigger size, 3x the price (at least), requires fan.. not in the same league as the RPi at all. I wish tech writers would stop thinking "SMALL COMPUTER = RPI COMPETITOR!". Get down to that same ~$35 price point, and we'll talk.

With the rise in popularity of ebooks, "number of pages" hopefully will come to matter less, as you'll care more about "quality of content" than "does this paper book feel thick and hefty and worth the $40+ price".

So I can either trust my data to a big stack of transistors and hope they don't just randomly die, or to a pile of spinning rusty metal discs and hope that a motor doesn't fail or something scrapes the rust off the platters. :)

This can also ease a lot of the criticism that Amazon is getting about slave-driving the (human) pickers in their warehouses lately.

"UNIX in a Nutshell" and "Essential System Administration" helped kick-start my career back in '95-96, and I'll always be grateful for that. I was in their "O'Reilly Irregulars" group a few years ago, where folks volunteered to go inventory

This just reminds me that I really need to get the MacIvory board set that I bought from David Betz up and running... I have the old Mac, the AEK II with template, and so forth, just not the TIME. :(

Ordered two from Newark (I'm in the US); the order confirmation email has an Expected Ship Date of 5/10/12. I've got a BeagleBoard C2 and a BeagleBone to play with until then...

All I see lately is that Flash is becoming less and less relevant. It's not on iOS; I purposefully didn't install it on my latest Android devices.

Somewhere, Gruber, Lyons, Arrington, and Siegler are sitting back, smoking cigars around a poker table, and laughing at all the income from ads that their little "dispute" and junior-high name calling is earning them.

I've used screen for 15 years, am happy with the functionality, and don't see the need (yet) to switch to tmux. Given that, I would rather that iTerm2 not use more system resources supporting a vterm multiplexer that I don't use. It's not

It's sad when a phone that's only 1.5 years old is "too old". I really enjoyed my N1 with Cyanogenmod, but switched back to iPhone when news of T-Mobile's acquisition by AT&T started coming out.

I had to completely remove and reinstall the Facebook app from scratch on both my Verizon iPhone 4 (4.2.7) and my wifi-only iPad 1 (iOS 5 GM) to get it to work. The iPhone just sat and "pinwheeled" for 4-5 minutes, and the iPad would dump
