I suppose it depends on how quickly they go from "Apple says this legacy" to actual legacy tech.

If you spend hours upon hours each day using that tool to be productive, then the quality of experience it delivers does change your life. If you're constantly fighting against a jammed keyboard, that affects your productivity, which

A lot of words to say nothing. Yes it’s a bad keyboard. But the interesting story is in how a company that once prioritised quality of user experience came to make that choice. The article is a set of maybes without any new insights.

Dave Winer, creator of RSS, said that in the future everyone will be famous for 15 people. I think we’ve been living in that world for a few years now.

When you mention the change of ownership, I assume that there's an implication there, but would you be willing to be explicit about it?

In the U.K. it’s supermarket opening times, especially near holidays. Google for “Aldi opening times Easter Sunday” and you’ll get articles from the lower quality newspaper websites. It’s pathetic.

From the perspective of a customer who cares about these things, though, there is a difference between a non-EU company bound by EU law and an EU head quartered company. I'm not saying it's enough to build an AWS-sized business or

You'll need to give some more detail. When I worked with a European cloud host, customers in Germany demanded German data centres and EU ownership. I've seen enough people/companies ask for that to convince me there's at

There are circumstances in which non-competes are enforceable in the UK. Even if it doesn’t technically apply to your situation, it can end up with a court deciding. At the least, a bloody minded employer can make it too expensive and painf

The Economist is one of the few publications I consider worth my money. Its journalism is thoughtful and for the long term, rather than sensationalised click-bait.

Any time someone gives the guy’s full name it’s a clear indicator of a certain agenda. Give it a rest. Dredge it up when he’s recovered or maybe, if he doesn’t survive this, after a respectful interval following his death.

One symptom of Coronavirus is a high fever and what we in the UK call paracetamol can reduce the fever thereby reducing the risk of organ damage.

Economic class seems very visible in the Bay Area, to me as a Brit visitor. Class is as much cultural and, in terms of upper class, hereditary here in the UK. I could never be upper class as I don’t have the right ancestors.
