Out of the box, Rails apps typically suffer from testability issues with fat models, problems caused by overuse of OOP patterns, and “ball of mud” lack of separation of domains. There are many ways to solve these problems with gems and spec

What? It’s widely known that over half of American adults read at or below a sixth grade level. This is a result from 2020 so it shouldn’t be news to you.

This safety device is useful because other methods of closing the garage door require physical proximity, i.e. the wired button, the remote in your car. These operators are necessarily close enough to the door to see if it is clear. But if

I'm currently moving from Rails to RedwoodJS ( https://redwoodjs.com/ ) and loving it. The framework is very well integrated and built around its components.

The Webpacker removal in particular was a huge pain for me. I was deeply frustrated by DHH’s belief that the framework no longer needs to support TypeScript.

The thing that makes me think twice about that argument is that Elon has just spent an enormous sum of money on a social media website that doesn’t seem to further the goals of materially improving the world.
