Yeah, I understand from a product perspective, but the studio feels like a bit of a weird product to me, I'd much rather either buy a mini form factor for the size, or just get a proper desktop machine (since the Mac Pro has been outda

Same for me, I bought it thinking I'd use my desktop more anyway so I wanted something very light, fanless and with long lasting battery – and I've ended up using it as my daily driver since the summer. It's absolutely flawle

I would strongly recommend the M2 air at 24GB, I too bought one of the first M1 airs with 8GB ram and that laptop is just gathering dust right now, but the latest ones are great, the increase in RAM really lets the processor shine.

New Mac mini with the M2 Pro maxes out at 32GB memory, that's quite disappointing compared to the Macbook Pro's 96GB. On the other hand, my M2 Macbook Air is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time, great fanless l

That’s not readable at all. Chaining ternary operators like that is much worse than the code the article shows. Maybe it’s a stylistic choice, but there’s nothing wrong with a sequence of “else ifs” as long as you don’t go deeper (like in t

When you buy new builds in bulk you also don’t pay full price, the builder will extend a nice discount as it provides a great channel to get rid of inventory and move on to the next site.

Blackrock invested over £350m just in my former employer to finance new builds in the UK, it’s not just second hand.

Indeed, as a UK renter dealing with one of these mega landlords (eg Greystar) is so much better than the usual exploitation game that private landlords play.

Having recently had to move homes, I welcome these mega landlords with open arms. They verticalise the whole process and in doing so greatly improve the experience for tenants. The traditional process with estate agents and unreasonable pri

If you look at the link provided by this thread’s parent you’ll see the credential database / API is encrypted, and the input is 3 bytes of the username hash. None of what you’re describing is possible. Even if it was, it would not be

If you want your static html to process a form, a few years ago the simplest approach was to add a php file to your site. Nowadays it is to create a zap webhook and point your form there. My point was that this is not and has never been a c

It is simple, people have been processing forms with CGI-style tools for ages (php etc, even this website!). With modern web services the equivalent is to use zapier/pipedream or built in services like netlify forms. You can get a lot

Javascript is actually great for accessibility, it’s really hard to properly implement WAI-ARIA without it. Most people with screen readers will have js enabled too.

I'm not sure why you think MPA is somehow inherently slower than a SPA For a complex application, data has to load in from the server on every page load – it can't simply be all bundled into the js. In eBay's case, a MPA usin

Right, but the reason it was kept in a hidden field was that it would then go to the server on form submission and the server would persist it across requests, if I recall correctly – haven't done ASP.NET in more than a decade. Either
