I think that's one view, but I personally own some NFT pieces that I bought directly from the artist – for me this is no different than buying a real painting, and the value IMHO is that I have clear cryptographical proof that my piece

Thanks, I always forget I can do that! I've given it a go and it's really impressive – the default chunker is very smart and manages to keep most of the chunk context together The table parser in particular is really good. Is the

Same here, fitz is great, it does well enough out of the box that I can apply some simple heuristics for things like joining/splitting paragraphs where it makes a mistake and extract drawings and such and get pretty close to 100% accur

Off-topic, but do you know how Tika compares to other pdf parsing libraries? I was very unimpressed by pdfminer.six (what unstructured uses) as the layout detection seems pretty basic, it fails to parse multi column text, whereas MuPDF does

I couldn't try this tool as it doesn't build on apple silicon (and there's no ARM docker image) However, I have a PDF parsing use-case that I tried those RAG tools for, but the output they give me is pretty low quality – it k

I wouldn't say it's so clear, if you read the article it seems like the developer was investigating an issue and found the database credentials, assumed the database connection was single-tenant (or that the user would be limited

The CNN article makes it seem like it was a mystery for a long time, but if you look at the original blog, it's clear in the comments that from the very beginning readers of the blog suggested it might be a telegraph code, but they did

I imagine tailwind didn’t exist when they created this. Plus, there are many benefits to this approach vs tailwind; much easier to theme (crucial for fb), easier composition of styles in general and easier refactoring

I think this is why, for me, the future of JS are resumable frameworks like Qwik and Marko 6 – you get all the benefits of NextJS + React (composable UIs, state management, server-side code, etc) with no hydration, which is a big cause of s

Not great! I've been luckier than most in that I had a decent year, but the writing is on the wall for 2024 and I have never seen such a hostile job search environment. There are barely any leadership roles available in the UK and it f

I think it's just semantics, but what I found incorrect was saying that DHTML was just little snippets – that entirely depends on the use, I remember entire websites written with DHTML that were cutting edge at the time. For me the rea
