Very true...I recently took a hacker position at an early stage startup. We're working out of a converted warehouse in Cambridge Ma....Can't tell you how much of a difference an open, natural environment makes.

I actually really like it. The design is cool and adds a lot of new UI features without over doing it or moving away from the simple and clean interface that made is so popular.

I understand the point that PG is making here. But I think DHH might argue that it's possible to create a business that doesn't require an unreasonable amount of work and attention. The work could even be enjoyable and interesting long term

This is great but with the RIAA suing 12 year olds and all, I'm pretty sure they'll shut you down for allowing me to listen to the beatles and metallica for free. Awesome app though. It looks like a great starting point.

I would imagine the biggest hit is B. If you're developing search functionality or other features that work against the social graph then you'll probably need to get a large chunk of that into memory. I've worked on a couple of non-trivial
