So you are basically saying that something is great without having worked with it on a production-grade project... Not saying React is a bad library, quite frankly it's the opposite, but your reasoning is surprising. In the future, avo

I don't think anobody stated that Firefox is the perfect browser. Each browser has its strenghs and weaknesses but I am more keen to accept flaws on a browser that's opened by nature: that's why I have always been using Firef

I don't think the N900 was the embodiment of the dream of what Nokia could have been without Elop, the N9/N950 were. Both were beautifully designed phones, with a unique and powerful operating system: swipe-based interaction, soci

I think Amazon Matchbook is a brillant idea. I love using my kindle when I am out and about, but prefer the paper format when home. I also enjoy the feeling of having a hard copy, that nobody can claim back, or put DRM on. When matchbook wi

I don't understand how you can be unhappy about the performance of the few last versions of Firefox. It is now quite savy in memory (especially in comparison with Chrome) and handles everything I throw at it without noticeable janks.

Minified does sound interesting, especially in term of size, but what about the performance in comparison to jQuery? Also, in term of browser support, the range of browsers officially supported is quite small (plenty of mobile browsers/

Should we encourage that as users, this quote war between Apple, Google, Microsoft and co? They just play the game of Apple fanboys in this particular case, and I find that immature and totally useless.

I agree with you as long as we are talking about mobile application stores. The Mac store proposes a lot of over-priced applications, including many applications that used to be free prior to the store release.

This article does not mention that the Minitel was a rip-off. All services were extremely expensive (3617 being the most expensive, at around 1€/minute). It was also investing on people's credulity at the time: for example, expens

It is surprisingly hard to obtain a consistent font rendering across OSX, Windows and Linux. I had to play with the weight of the fonts, but also the font size (on Windows, my font is 3pt smaller than on OSX...). Irritating, especially when

KeePassX started as Linux client for KeePass but since then has become cross platform. I have not investigated yet what are the main differences between the KeePass and the KeePassX applications on Windows.

As said elsewhere, passwords stored in LastPass are encrypted locally. They do not store your password so they officially don't have a way to decrypt your passwords. I agree that it's a matter of trust as your passwords are still

With LastPass, all data are encrypted locally on your machine so except if there is a backdoor in their extensions/desktop applications, you are normally pretty safe.
