The idea that intelligence will be commoditized is completely counterintuitive. It comes from the belief that it can’t exceed our own. This is almost certainly not true at the limit. There will likely by many super intelligences like we se

Most raves are just EDM shows now. In the 90s they were secret warehouse parties, and instead of Molly it was “Ecstasy” Molly can be an unbelievable experience but please be very careful if you have mental illness.

We do it, it’s fine. From what I can tell just about every company does it now. Review your code, have integration tests, rollout feature incrementally with feature flags. All the things we previously did for all the really bad human develo

Why choose a significantly worse language when you are writing it in the same English either way. It’s increasingly obvious that whole swaths of developers will just continue using the language they did before LLMs “just cause” It’s more id

Phantasy Star Online was so far ahead of its time. I remember connecting it up to my early modem via phone jack. Gameplay was amazing, story and graphics were great, the community was really fun. Oddly it’s also the last MMO I ever really p

My guess is the models just continue to get better and better When I got into agentic coding a year or two ago I was sure it was only good at autocomplete. Something happened earlier this year where the models hit a new level of capability.

I love Go and used to write it heavily for anything non LLM based. Now that we have agentic coding I just write everything in Rust and couldn’t be happier. The struggle with rust was writing it, go was made so it was easy to write for mid l

I’ve been writing almost exclusively Rust with LLMs and rarely ever hit this. I guess maybe the kind of work you are doing?

>When a competent programmer is writing the code, the human written code tends to be higher quality too This is a great idea, but on average is deeply untrue. Far and away most programmers today write significantly worse code than LLMs.
