I do feel like I get value from politics Twitter, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood, and really wish I could filter it down to scicomm twitter easily.

Much more interesting than the question, "is minimum wage good or bad?" is the question, "what policies accomplish the goals of minimum wage more effectively?" I wish half of the ink spent debating the sign of the impact

I can make small edits on my phone, and more importantly reread it to find errors. If I think of something at work, I can open in a tab. I can send my current draft to someone so they can add feedback inline. I can make changes based on the

I can work from any device in any little snippet of time I have available, and all I need is a browser. That flexibility allowed me to make progress even with a job and two kids. I submitted my first paper recently, and I don't think I

For that reason I prefer approval voting (as well as how simple it is to explain) but I'm happy to get behind any change that has momentum. We have the worst possible system right now, so any movement is good.

Seems more expensive than the alternatives, but that depends how much time it takes to seek out used clothes via friends, mothers groups, thrift stores. If that is time consuming for you then it might be worth it.

I've come to the conclusion that the only reason new baby equipment is ever sold is due to baby showers. There's an extremely liquid market for this stuff since it spends less than a year with each owner.
