This can't come fast enough. What to type is the hard part, not actually typing it. Most of programming is just typing stuff you already know. If there is a machine that will do that for me, my god.

I mean the source is there, so if you could code it up in a weekend, more power to ya! I always find it strange that people say this instead of just doing it and making millions being a solo dev.

By that logic he should have just kept is salary what it was. His salary now is about .05% of the companies revenue. That would be like the CEO of Mailchimp making 350k

I would say the Chinese market is MUCH more competitive than the US market. Do a few searches for the salaries of AI/engineers. Just because Chinese companies don't operate in the US doesn't mean they are small.

You can't order by date or filter on Google either. I think the fact that young people use it over google as a search says something.

I'm sorry :(. I guess that's why it's hard, because it doesn't always turn out right. This person probably did thousands of drives in their life and only ONE of them led them to that feeling.

I always think thoughts like this miss that the value prop right now is for "People who want to play games". By not having DRM, you're getting more customers, but you're also expanding your TAM to include "People wh

I can't imagine not having static typing. Maybe I am a bad coder but there is no way I would be able to catch some of the spelling mistakes, objects that are missing a property, etc. I am not sure how people catch these mistakes other

I guess for people here still remember the value proposition as being "cheaper than a hotel" If I'm on vacation I want to relax in a house, not a hotel. Hotel's are for sleeping to me. I guess that's fine if you jus

What the heck. Your advice to a new CTO is to start a small business on the side? I would immediately fire them if I were on the board and they did that.

I feel like most people either haven't started anything and had to deal with spam, or they think every business should a billion dollar grow at all costs business that loses money. Making it free would have missed out on the probably 2

It trips me out that people still try to get GPT3 to do deterministic things (math, cite a source, recite dates, etc). Not sure if its a lack of creativity or just a stubborn view of what is valueable.

You've stayed in 100 Airbnb's and only one of them had a clean kitchen counter and the trash taken out? That's dedication to a service and also extremely bad luck.

I hear that! I actually started doing the same for my rent. Landlord tried to raise the price so I just stopped paying. Same with food actually. Price of a tomato has gone up too much so I usually take one or two as I leave the store.
