The site seems to be down at the moment. Here is a cached version [1] The gist of it: the slack mac client seems to ask you for your groups before properly authenticating you - hence if you put in the email address of a competitor (or famou

I got a similar experience from a different accelerator (which we didn't go to for approximately the same reasons). What I think happens is that the people sending this are not completely aware of how their role has shifted. They prima

Having actually worked to implement a last minute export feature, I can attest that they went out of their way to make it difficult - with weird restrictions, and no responsiveness on API rate limiting - I'm glad they'll live on,

Without commenting on why Zenimax would launch such a lawsuit now and be public about it, I can't help but see Carmack's response as a potential intimidation move, e.g "You may win in court, but you will lose in the court of

I would go for adding "1 issue of your choice per week" as part of prime (a bit like the kindle lending library) - this would work great for occasional readers, and I could see this generating significant sales for people who bing

Thanks cobalt for the link - since 2010 it has migrated to an XML format [1] - which is documented albeit not really human readable. However, I can't figure out how to retrieve a .one file from the Mac Client to check for the format -

Agreed - However, I'm still weary of the internal OneNote Format - I haven't poked around, but last time I checked, it was a big binary undocumented blob basically - so the lack of a proper structured export is somewhat worrisome.

It's even more the case for local searches. Google routinely finds badly misspelled locations (from I gather interpolating with my location?) - for these kinds of searches, I don't think any of the alternatives comes close.

I think mefi is a little bit different too, as I understand it, the main revenue come from ads on the Ask Metafilter pages. It certainly isn't growing very much, but I don't believe it's actually declining. I've been awa

This talk was amazing - during it, the room was completely silent... I recommend watching it with enough time set aside to maybe take a walk afterwards.

My guess is that"s why they're bundling a free 2yrs skype wifi with it - no 3G, but free access to many hotspots. Not sure it's a worthwile tradeoff for everyone though.

This looks great - And fits perfectly into a need I had at the moment for sharing smaller screencasts. I had a few crashes with it this morning on a rMBP, what's the best route for support ? (your forums do not seem updated yet for phospho

I agree - the service is great, but the client apps are not. In particular, if you have a lot of songs, the iPod app can get really slow and confused (things have improved a bit in iOS 6, but it still crashes on me occasionally, especially
