I totally agree, I wasn't trying to push the merits of metrics. I meant that feeling and metrics are not mutually exclusive and that is what the author was trying to claim.

I also came back here to say something about the README. I don't like the `Namespace/another/view` that is in there. Just build something else, for all I care even a todo app so I can see what these values would be in a real-

Measuring and feeling are not mutually exclusive. This is just the frame that the author is trying to prop up in order to sell us their shallow, meaningless piece. I wouldn’t normally even comment something like this about someone’s article

What are some good prevention mechanisms for this? A sort of firewall for prompts? I've seen people recommend LLMs, but that seems like it wouldn't work well. What is the industry standard? Or what looks promising at least?

Thanks for the links. What do you guys think about security concerns around minisform and ugreen being Chinese companies?

Great to see another CSS > JavaScript enthousiast. To do these things I use Tailwind which makes it easier for me to change and see what is happening. You can do so many things with just CSS. Dropdowns, animated sidebar menus, toggled ar

So if I understand this correctly it goes over every possible document with an LLM each time someone performs a search? I might have misunderstood of course. If so, then the use cases for this would be fairly limited since you'd have t

Very cool! So simple, I love it. One thing that would be great is a bit better support for lists (todos, unordered and ordered) where when you press enter once it will add another `-` or `- [ ]`, etc item and when you press it a second time

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a claude code like tool that uses locally hosted models?

Have you looked at the financial health of the one company vs the other? I am pretty sure Google is making more than 10x the money Mozilla is making.

That is crazy and at the same time so Belgian. Belgians have 0 understanding of anything to do with cars. Their roads are horrible, they are horrible drivers, it is crazy. When I lived in Brussels all traffic lights of intersections would g

That doesn't make any sense. How would criminals know even if the traffic light receives a signal like that?

Whenever someone presents an anecdote like this, there is always someone who says “but then you are doing react wrong”. Ok, so why is it possible to do it so wrong so often then? That sounds like a downside of the tool. It is a sharp knife.

Coincidentally I’ve been trying to figure out a nice no-nonsense way to setup a HA postgres cluster with automatic failover and restoration of nodes and point in time recovery. I see a lot of patroni with etcd and haproxy being advised. It

Usually people get huffed up about stuff they care about. Caring doesn’t mean wanting it to be better, it could also mean get worked up about. Surely a one-off comment about nobody using Ruby doesn’t mean you “care”, but if it is true that
