I used a commercial dishwasher in an Airbnb that had the fittings for a catering operation. It had an initial heat up time of like twenty minutes, after that each cycle of dishes took like... two minutes? Maybe five. But it was much worse a

Is 10W idle the lowest one can reasonably get a small home server? As a comparison, that's about as much as my fridge draws on average. Also, a mechanism to maximize the time spent at idle would be useful. Basically all the optimisatio

I think that would be pretty bad UI for people who actually use more than one profile, as a) it'd be very easy to use accidentally use the wrong profile and b) it's not super easy to switch the profile when your within one (and ma

Thanks, apparently utilities is disabled because I disabled something called Apps Activity because the data sharing involved seemed both bonkers and vague. Sharing chat transcripts I'd hate but deal with, but they're also getting

Water vapor in the atmosphere is complicated. At some altitudes, it causes atmospheric warming, at others, it increases albedo -- reflectivity -- and thus is cooling. Of course wrt to anthropogenic climate change the focus is usually on CO2

I was thinking within a country. But sure, that would make more sense than only alphabetical sorting for the global listings as well. Hadn't even noticed those. If you wanted -- and you had the data, which you probably don't -- yo

I like that one a lot, too. But it's not the kind of music a lot of people like. You'll get mostly blank or concerned looks if you make everyone listen to it.

I've got a shelf full of physical cookbooks -- The New Best Recipe, The Food Lab, an Ottolenghi book, On Food and Cooking, etc. I like them, I've read through all of them, I sometimes use them for inspiration. It's rare that

That's a really good source (albeit from 2017), but while it does support your argument that sales by other companies dwarf those by Coca-Cola, the latter is still firmly in first place, with 3.3 billion liters sold -- as much as the c

Coca-Cola completely dominates retail in Germany. The most recent numbers I could find[1] are from 2018, but I have no reason to believe the situation, you know, flipped on its head -- the top 3 lemonades were Coke, Coke Zero and Coke light
