Maybe I've grown too used to the current design, but my first reaction is - yuck, too much like a http://everyfuckingwebsite.com/ clone. I'll try to articulate my dislike as something constructive, and submit feedback directly.

Great presentation, thank you for making me aware of an aspect of Python performance. One slide struck me as odd - the "basically pythonic" squares() function. I understand it's a chosen example to illustrate a point, I just hope people are

Thank you for digging deeper. Novec bears further watching. Iceotope are a bit odd, their website is just press release after press release.

At the time the web-browsing market was a subset of the PC/laptop market - that's no longer the case with smartphones and tablets selling so fast.

Agreed. There's a control in the bottom right corner to control the speed of/stop it, but the animation shouldn't be there to start with.

If you enjoy these, and you have BBC iPlayer I highly recommend the 3 part Supersized Earth http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00zy57x/Supersized_Ear... for more scary/wow Anthropocene material.

If you ever need to go down market/pivot: replace the cameras with a microphone, add padding to the ball, add line out to the receiver, sell it to presenters who want to take questions from an audience.

I'm in the beta, I've never had to rejoin. Possibly because I'm logged into my Google account, which is linked to my Youtube account. Note that some Youtube videos are still delivered as Flash, I believe is whenever adverts are shown.

I expect/hope that if so, any attempt to prosecute would result in wide media coverage/negative publicity for the prosecutor. The case would be dropped, and/or the product would be made legal - by adjustment of the law and/or the Nori.
