I tried this out last night on my cluster ( https://github.com/helm/monocular ) While nice looking I was hoping it provided a way to easily install and configure the variables from the ui.

I think we as engineers tend to unconsciously disvalue non-technical roles. The fact of the matter is that there is an incredible amount of work that goes into the sales and marketing pieces of a business. To even suggest that a "major

Nice article! Load balancing with native kubernetes services is pretty easy with nodeport. Simply don't specify a nodeport and a free one will be provisioned that dosen't conflict. Then just put an elb or whatever in front of the

Is this really on docker.com? The article was hard to read and provided no tangible details into their stack? How are they running containers in prod?

Kubernetes deployments are done via yml (or json) files too. They are called manifests. I think you are misunderstanding the tools listed. Minikube sets up a single-node local cluster. Kubeadm sets up a multi-node cluster. No matter how or

You should be able to use docker-machine for windows but it needs virtualbox. Honestly I would pay to upgrade though. I think it's around $100 and you can do it from the store. Hyper-v is one of the most exciting things about windows 1

I would use bash for your normal command line. That way you can easily use git, ssh, htop or whatever linux tools you need. Then I would install docker for windows and docker-cli inside bash. Then you can easily work on node projects by goi

Docker for Windows works great but it needs hyper-v which is pro only. Well worth it though. Also I would enable the WSL to get bash. Install conemu and you are pretty much good to go. You will be surprised how well bash works. The fact you

Since when is Flocker competing with those platforms? It's designed to work with them. http://kubernetes.io/docs/user-guide/volumes/#flocker

Wow this surprising. I wonder what the reason for shutdown is? Flocker looked like a really cool product but was pretty involved setup wise when I was evaluating it. What are best options now for bare-metal? Ceph? NFS?

It depends on how you have your spinnaker accounts setup. You can install spinnaker on aws and only configure an account to use a spinnaker cluster, or install spinnaker on a separate cluster
