But there is no github.com upstream relationship. Sure they can upload it, but it will be obvious it's rogue copy since there is no "forked from.." messaging to the canonical repo.

Imagine you run a website, foobar.com. You have foobar.com github org and foobar private repo (and also some public ones). Its the canonical org/repo. ninja123 has a github fork of it and it relays that from the github ui. "forked

Enable WSL and install whatever terminal you want inside the distro. I like tilix. Then run an xserver and start the terminal emulator. Works great. I also have had good luck with hyper.js if you want something that actually runs on windows

Slots is the absolute worst thing you can play with highest house edge and expected loss by far. It's also mind numbingly boring.

Playing craps is a bunch of fun for me personally. I treat it like entertainment and just play the pass line plus odds. The pass line is just a 1.41% house advantage. And there is 0% house edge on odds. It's actually cheaper than buyin

Yeah I'm sure they are running linux. Actually just have them build openssh from source first. Much easier then signing up for GitHub and following their guide to do a test push for a litmus test.

Awesome! Would be interesting to know more about the software and how they test it all. I wonder what percentage of slot machines run linux? I would assume most due to no liscensing fees?

Have you tried installing the docker client inside WSL but pointed at the hyper-v daemon? I have no problems using it this way. https://nickjanetakis.com/blog/setting-up-docker-for-windows...

Windows is not my main dev env but I do some things here and there when i'm booted into it. WSL + Docker for Windows via Hyper-V is pretty great. I also generally run terminator via x server and it's fairly snappy. Need to try the

Thanks for your feedback, you do have some good points. > Docker is not part of Kubernetes. This is what I was talking about. Yes, perhaps I should have said Dockerfiles + k8s Manifests > In short, efficient use of Kubernetes requires

The thing about k8s is it sort of forces you into best practices, immutable images are built and run instead of ansible or config management duct-taping them together. So he replaced his ansible playbooks that build his apps with Dockerfile
