Awesome! That's interesting to know. I guess the barrier to entry being soooo low when it comes to AI definitely plays a role.

(Without having any knowledge on this but making assumptions… vibing lol) I think early humans were probably a mix of both. The goal was survival, and idk what sort of language we had either, so just eat, reproduce, etc. Oo ahh ahh goo goo

Go has a nice std, and interfaces that make it easy to add on top instead of reinventing the wheel. I think as long as a language offers the basics (like streams, etc) it’s not that bad to build on top of it.

What do you mean by stay on top of it? I’m more on the applied/practical side, not really qualified nor interested in the theoretical side (I’m not a AI PhD). Beyond a high level understanding of how these tools work, there’s not much

The promise is that we can automate work. The reality is that for any meaningful work automation, the currently available tooling is not meeting that expectation. And 99% of us do not have the capabilities nor knowledge to build these SOTA

This honestly reminds me of the crypto days from 2017-2021ish. Literally 80% of the posts were about crypto and how we were going to experience some ground shattering revolution. There were so many posts about how all the topics are about c

The people on the street didn’t magically spawn as drug addicts. They chose that life. And they drive the demand. I am from a third world hellhole and I find it sad that people here can’t just accept personal responsibility. We didn’t even

Even the best LLM can't even process a 50 line CSV with like 2+ columns properly.

Cool, and most people don't want to see fentanyl zombies and cracked out people shitting/screaming. You can go drugs, but in a democracy people like me who don't want to deal with the crackheads will win out.

Because the drugs are 100x worse than alcohol. These drug addicts behavior is worse than alcoholics. I’d rather live in a society where people don’t need to turn to drugs. And I would prefer building a coalition of like minded people and st

Sorry I should have clarified. Continue with a deal with a top provider. If Apple continues to make excellent hardware, maybe the best of those providers will pay them $10B a year to be the default models like Google paid them for search. T

I think the most boss move Apple can make is to just not half-ass some half-baked “AI” into their ecosystem. I like the minimalist and premium experience Apple offers. Ride the wave, but innovate in robotics or something. Skip this LLM hype

Very cool. I can’t run (bad knees) but I’ve been making a habit of walking at least 30 min a day, and goal of 90 minutes. I’m happy to have hit that goal this past week, and your post inspired me to make every week a successful one in that

I'm pushing like 30-50% more code per week since using AI, and I'm only really using Cursor.

Or just a technical product manager. Honestly, the biggest mistake IMHO was hiring non technical product managers and putting them in charge of technical teams. They’re almost always annoying af, useless, and tbh “people skills” only go so

Agree. While people argue and split hairs over X language is better than Y language (noobs if I’m being honest, even if they have 20 yr experience), one can ship actual products and make money using TS. It’s a good language that scales quit

More that I don’t care to “follow” and “like” people. Just being honest like I said I don’t give a crap what people think or say for the most part.

Cool. OT but I must be a weirdo because I just don’t get any satisfaction out of these apps. I just don’t give that much of a shit about what other people think or say. HN is enough for me lol.

The more I use something the more I become both a hater and lover. I use AI a LOT and I have a love hate relationship with it. Therefore, it’s actually something I value daily. If I only love something or hate something it’s shallow and meh
