Something doesn't have to be illegal for it to be a story and it's not ideologically inconsistent to agree that Cloudflare has the right to not serve these customers while also scrutinizing them for it. What is legal/illegal

Atlanta is great! There are places like this[0] inside the perimeter. My old apartment had a trail down to the river and we would drive half a mile up the road and then tube back down to my apartment. [0] https://www.google.com&#

A good rule of thumb is to apply this technique for objects of 10 kB or larger — but as always with performance advice, measure the actual impact before making any changes. Might be worth investigating if you have a ton of JSON.

There is one (voat) but unfortunately it turned into a cesspool. What I would like to see is the concept of sub-reddits decentralized. Each subreddit could be it's own instance and you peer with the ones you like. It could even be API

Neither amphp or reactphp will let you start running blocking functions in parallel out of the box. They basically just provide syntactic sugar for making single-threaded, cooperative multitasking easier by wrapping php's native abilit

They did eventually nerf the algorithm. /r/t_d was abusing stickied mod posts to get on the front page and that got fixed. I think it was also partly because most of the pro-trump users and posts were concentrated in one subreddit

We did something similar to this for a CRUD app that needed to become append only, have a full change log, have approve/deny events, and the ability to be rolled back. We still had an event table, but instead of having event data it ju

I agree. I don't want a new phone right now, I just want to keep getting software improvements. I still have the OG Pixel and I really don't want to replace it. It has a headphone jack and it still runs as well as it did day 1. Un

How do their 'subreddits' work? It would be really cool if prismo was sort of an aggregate of independent 'subreddit' servers.

It's been a while since I've played around with this but I remember the "Great package management" story to be lacking with .NET Core. It was tough finding packages that worked with Core. Has the package ecosystem grown?

I filtered out /r/the_donald forever ago and I'm only reminded of it when a new anti-trump echo chamber spams its way to the top of /r/all. Now I have dozens of those filtered but its hard to keep up.
