Article is from March 2011. We still can't rely on SNI as Windows XP is still widespread. If you are using a CDN then caching is not much of an issue. Modern browsers cache https assets when you set the headers properly.

You brute force the username+password pair. As a bonus, you don't need to know the e-mail address, so you're automatically trying to break in to all the accounts in parallel.

It also keeps out beginners. Depending on the forum (I'm not familiar with lichess) that might be a drawback or a bonus.

Hopefully they will extend those hours before launching fully in the UK. Tech support only being open 6pm-2am would be annoying. I've no idea where the OP is, but I imagine US/Canadian east coasters aren't terribly happy about support hours

As an ordinary web user, if CloudFlare suspect you may be malicious (your IP address being on a spam blacklist seems to be enough) they will show you a warning that you should scan your PC for viruses and ask you to complete a captcha. (The

Great! Why couldn't they say that up front instead of making it seem like magical thinking? It's not very good humour, because it made me feel like they thought I was an idiot, instead of making me smile.

That page is full of meaningless marketing fluff. In a typical build system, the dependency arrows go down. ... In tup, the arrows go up. This is obviously true because it rhymes. ... This makes it very fast. You've changed your notation

I'm wary about getting a Chrome laptop to run Ubuntu on, because (aiui) there is no way to run a kernel on it other than the ChromeOS kernel. I worry that an update to the Ubuntu userspace could cause it to rely on features present in the U

IANAL but breach of contract. You have made an offer through your website, the customer has accepted that order through your website, at which point by default a contract exists between you. You can wiggle round it a bit with your T+Cs, but
