Thanks, I hate it. Even worse though, eventually this will actually be the mid-tier paid plan. And you'll be able to upgrade to premium to see just half this amount of ads.

Very cool. To my eye, the splats are sometimes having too much contrast -- implying more "stark" visual features that don't actually manifest in the real image. Presumably the radius and the opacity curve of the gradients c

For image placeholders while the real image is loading. At 16 bytes, that can easily be just another attribute on an html img tag.

So, what am I giving up when I use these free models? Am a being an A/B test guinea pig? Or real world scale testing? Or they're using all my inputs for training? Or they're sneaking in backdoors in my vibe code?

Yeah, and not to mention the increase in likelihood click events the user intends for the application will make it through successfully, rather than being stolen by the window manager.

This looks like a decent alternative to faiss. Has anyone used zvec enough to compare with other options? The in-process model is really nice when you want to layer it in with your own filtering and ranking, where the vectors are just one

Say you hire a nanny for $6k/mo... What problem have you solved? You're still paying the six grand, and you had better hope the nanny is good, because that is your kids' whole world now for a chunk of their existence.

Good point that DST dates can technically change -- but in practice it doesn't really change on a year-to-year basis. The current law establishing the start and end dates in the US has been in effect unchanged for the last ~20 years.

What I really want is one of these powered by gps. The time already comes for free in the signal, and from your location you can derive the time zone. That way DST is accounted for automatically, but you don't have to set up and rely

Nice work. I found the game to be enjoyable, and couldn't stop till I got that crust, even though it took a while. Nice polish on sounds and animations. Not sure if the pizza theme is net positive or not. It's cute and catchy, b

Yes, we've used skeema for this for many years, and it is just plain lovely. Putting into source control your desired end state is so much more intuitive and understandable than accumulating migrations. In a way it's like the di

Yes, functionality trumps design if something has to give -- but what is the text overflowing into? Often it is overflowing into other text, and so now neither is readable. Or it is pushing other content unreachably outside the viewport.

This is at 92% recall. Could be worse, but could definitely be much better. Quantization and hierarchical clustering are tricks that lead to awesome performance at the cost of extremely variable quality, depending on the dataset.
