I’m sure it’s not uniquely American. It’s just a standard strategy for the GOP. Defund, then complain regulation doesn’t work and deregulate or allow regulatory capture.

Can you give a better example of what you mean? There are plenty of multi-tenancy file systems. Do you mean QoS by user or over the network?

That’s not that terrible of advice. You are empowering others to take action rather than feel disaffected. If they can come up with a better way with the same constraints then why not? Otherwise everyone gets to move on.
