Do others here still recommend using Excel/Google Sheets despite having programming knowledge, or are there more powerful tools available (eg. Airtable) which might be less accessible to people without tech backgrounds? If spreadsheets

Just found a layout called "Workman" which seems to be a more reasonably designed layout for programming. Also has a "Workman-P" variant which switches the number/symbol keys so that shift is needed for numbers and

Oh cool, thanks for sharing. That keyboard has a similar shape to the Kinesis keyboard I got a while ago. Could never really get into it though. It was nice for typing with two hands once I got familiar with it, but I think it made one-hand

Are those the only complaints with it? Those actions for the shortcuts you mentioned seem pretty standard so it might be worth adjusting to them and figuring out how to work around it in whatever software uses different responses. You could

You don't have to use the Vim editor itself, but to not take advantage of Vim key bindings is a huge miss if you're doing programing work. Most modern editors have plugins that enable them. Personally I've been using Intellij

Thanks for putting this list together! I took some cog sci courses in college and have been meaning to dive more into the research around it and these papers seem like a good place to start. I expect to run into lots of jargon and concepts
