Most of us cannot be those "greatest minds that have thus far graced this planet." For many of us, it's more fulfilling to be good at one thing than mediocre at dozens.

I mean you can personally refuse care, but the subtext I get is that others should martyr themselves similarly. That's not a choice you get to make for them.

FYI, "eke." "Eek" is an expression of alarm or surprise.

In your version, the color of a vertex is independent of other vertices. The real problem is about entirely about connections to other vertices. The latter cannot be reduced to the former.

Hey, I don't have any solutions for you, but wanted to share some camaraderie. I feel exactly this way. In fact, I could have written the post myself.

I know that jokes are ruined by explaining them, but... could you explain the joke here? I also read it as misdirection.

Not sure where you're from, but in most of the US "apartments" are not assets, but liabilities: tenants don't own them, but rent them. We generally call them "condos" when owned.

A lovely take. For years now, JHU has been emphasizing that the benefits of psilocybin are strongly correlated with whether one has a "mystical-type experience." My own explorations (long ago) strongly bore this out.

Another, more "visual" description: Without loss of generality, let the number be xx...xx100...000, where x stands for any bit and there are n trailing zeros. 1. The largest power of 2 that divides it is 2^n. 2. The twos-complemen

Why not nuking the whole planet, so that nobody is left? Or maybe you want some people remaining to enjoy it, in which case why not your progeny instead of others? I find this whole line of thought fraught. Some assumption somewhere went wr

You are confusing using emotion to reach God with emotion being God. And of course there is "such a thing." You even described what it refers to, a definition which is sufficient for the purposes of this thread.

I was with you right up until the word "emotion." Although "Hinduism" is vast and covers quite a few disparate beliefs and philosophies, none of them (to my knowledge) even approximately equate God with an emotion. Even
