On my iphone, I can’t jump to the links, and if I try to select a URL, it switches to edit mode and I can’t even switch tabs because the keyboard is constantly taking over. I was interested by the title but will skip the article because of

That's a very interesting take. I feel like they're all very urgent to tackle. People are losing faith in the political system and I fear they are also losing faith in the judicial system. Do you think the people would be OK with

I love the idea and the interface. I think the stories are a bit convoluted and confusing. Such problems are inherently hard to understand, convey and fix, and this is an example. The "finding the issue" aspect is interesting but

I think it's impressive, but maybe not for the same reasons as the OP : that means that keyword lookup accounted for at least 20% of total SQL parsing time. That's a surprise to me !

This is beyond idiotic. Any company that's about to release this in their production server will want to benchmark the effect of the fix. And some of them will have to provide the results to their customers.

That makes sense. I completely misunderstood the release note. Thanks for the clarification. The insight is very interesting. I always thought there would be 2 separate binary searches...

The query optimizer improvements are pretty cool too. Even though, I don't really understand that one : "The IN-early-out optimization: When doing a look-up on a multi-column index and an IN operator is used on a column other than

For sure, the result is a good news, but it highlight what I believe is a major flaw in the modern court systems : the tax payer and the defender ends up footing the bill for what is essentially abuse of the system and pure incompetency. Is

I think Spectre and the JS PoC are actually the ones applicable to any modern processors (including AMDs, ARMs and probably most other chip vendors). Looks like the mitigations for these will be directly included in the browser. EDIT : I do
