I never understood why the primary concern was privacy. I mean, it gets your information from Facebook doesn’t it? I’d be much more worried about what they’re training their algorithm to do. Seeing your old self is fun and all, but if you h

It’s the new buzz word for non-tech Gartner/EY/Deloitte consultants. It’s basically the new blockchain/RPA/BigData/AI. So far only RPA has brought us any value, and it comes with a ton of technical dept and huge amo

I don’t know, I work in the public sector where we have been in bed with Microsoft for decades and I don’t think their monopoly on non-tech enterprise has ever been stronger. There is really no alternative to Office365 that wouldn’t cost us

I don’t think you’re a weird minority. I work for a Danish city and we operate around 500 different IT systems. They are all slowly migrating to web, with some backend typically JAVA or C# and a JavaScript MVVM front. Only one of them uses

Microsoft uses a lot of different techs. Isn’t a lot of their cross platform and web code for office 365 build with React? That doesn’t mean they aren’t moving forward with .Net or C#, but the main thing they want to sell to developers in 2

There is a way around it. Big pharma is still just a bunch of companies. We could make 4000% price hikes on things like insulin illegal. We could set legal price limits on medicine. We could reform medicine patents. We could open research.

Is it really about morals? I see it more as a service that makes people chose your site over the competition. It basically boils down to “the customer is always right”, doesn’t it? Morally the customer isn’t always right, but you sell more

I use my surface on my lap quite a lot, and it works fine, a lot less wobbly and no heat on thighs (or calves, not sure what your upper legs is called in English). It can’t be used on stomach in bed though, like at all. So there are certain

WSL makes Windows a better development platform than Macs. You get better unix toolage, and you get it in a sandbox that doesn’t infect your regular desktop environment when you’re doing everything else.
