The real issue would be how to make it profitable. If your user base is much further right than Fox, you’ll be hard pressed to attract advertising because most companies would not want their brand associated with you. Which poses the proble

99% of the “learn programming language” literature is written by people who likely couldn’t do your job because they haven’t ever been programming. This is why languages need good documentation. It seems like it’s a booming industry though.

I don’t think I’ll ever go back to spending 37(work) + 15 (commute) hours on work again. Either I’ll work shorter days or I’ll work closer to home. I know I’m privileged in that I can chose between both, but the extra time we’ve had as a fa

I’m struggling with a lot of things in this. Why couldn’t you test your stored procedures? Assuming you use an ORM, do you test it’s logic? Because if you don’t, then what’s the difference? Why wouldn’t you have more than one database? What

Why is this on the front of HN? It’s a boring blog post about some, seemingly entitled, person who’s on a rant about people not wanting to listen to Jehovah’s witnesses. It’s not remotely useful. Changing hearts and minds is a skill in itse
