What ruined Yik Yak for me was making the geographical areas larger so my University's 'herd' included surrounding cities too. Too much noise. This compounded with the removal of anonymity led to me deleting the application.

I'm definitely not buying an iPhone 7. Not only did they remove the headphone jack, they used their proprietary Lightning port. If they instead provided a USB C port, I'd consider it. That's at least universally available and

I clicked on it thinking it's some sort of content delivery network. After looking at the homepage, I still have no reason to believe otherwise.

I actually worked at Amazon's Milton Keyne's fulfilment centre for a while. It was tough, I almost always came home with blisters on my feet. Picking is THE WORST. The targets they set were absolutely ridiculous, I don't thin

We spend so much time discussing to death the tools we use, time which should be spent using them instead. This man just got on with it.

Right, FLED. He is fleeing the USA because the government are after him because he revealed their corruption. Sure, the media could spin it but people already know.

The biggest problem with web hosting providers' email services is the lack of effective spam filters similar to Gmail's though.

Wow, this is brilliant. One of the biggest complaints that pirates have is DRM. If a game is DRM free then why not purchase it? Especially if you really like it and it's only $8! Great post guys, good luck.

I think we need a paid email provider, someone who's sole business is to provide email services, and maybe a calendar. Someone who you can host your own domain with and someone who's mission it is to ensure their customers have privacy, sec

Recently started hosting my Jekyll blog on S3 with CloudFront and it's already costing me more or less nothing. I love how they're constantly lowering the prices of their services.

I don't understand the whole mobile first thing? Isn't Foundation already responsive? Don't most websites built with Foundation's grid system automatically fit nicely on mobile devices? Am I missing something?

I see it the other way around. Creating a start-up is supposed to be fun and exciting as well as challenging. Someone suffering from depression starting a start-up could be a great way to get over their depression by working on something th

I used BrowserStack on a trial basis and I absolutely loved it. Would pay for access but my usage doesn't justify the cost.

Wow, that's actually pretty great. One of the biggest reasons why people are still stuck on old versions of IE is because they don't want to run OS upgrades. Making the upgrades independent of everything else is quite sensible.

Many companies are still using Internet Explorer 6 or 7. It's absolutely ridiculous, why not upgrade or just switch browsers? Can't be that difficult, surely? My previous school uses Internet Explorer 8, I asked the tech why he doesn't upgr

Call me naive but why doesn't the US simply switch to a healthcare system similar to the UK's NHS? I live in Britain and I live happy knowing that if I get a scratch, I won't go bankrupt.

Looks nice but I don't think I would ever use something like this. 70% of the time I'm on a browser so I prefer to just come to the website. A good app for iPad would be good since tapping the tiny HN links on there is terrible.
