You can't stream video from the car to the app, not yet at least. It's rumored to be coming in a future update, but it's not here yet.

A new person has no grasp on what constitutes a "more appropriate tool." People with zero experience don't get to dictate what tools people who know what they're doing should use. Can you imagine if a layman walked into

I think the most infuriating thing to me about this article is that the author doesn't understand the existing tools well enough to have any idea why we need new ones, and instead decided to complain on his blog about how programming i

I don't know how he manages to write Node.js programs when one of the first things he says is that he couldn't get node to install.

> The whole point is, there is no reason to require a programmer to know them. There's no point to making sure a programmer knows how his environment is set up? Are you being serious right now?

100% agree. I immediately stopped reading as soon as he said "wtf is a user/local/bin in path?" Someone that ignorant of the absolute basics of how a computer works has no business complaining about the user-friendliness

Supposedly, the front seat headrests of most cars in the US can be pulled off and used as glass breakers. I haven't personally tried it, but the prongs on the bottom definitely seem like they could do the job from the inside, at least.

>An apple developer account is only $100/year. When the other operating systems have options that are entirely free of cost, that's not as good of a deal as you think.

While I agree this looks dumb, I don't understand your loathing for multi-tool pliers. The most useful tool is the one you have with you, so I'm going to carry as many as I can fit in my pocket at once.

I'd personally prefer a manual shutter like the one Lenovo includes on its newer machines. It's nigh impossible for an attacker to open that against my will without physically reaching over my shoulder and moving the slider.

Just come out and say you hate developers having any rights instead of dancing around the topic. This was inarguably a poor decision on Apple's part. If Apple keeps this up, the developers will leave, and then you'll have nothing
