I am researching these kind of tools at the moment, and, although I'm not convinced myself yet, I am curious to learn. What kind of vanity metrics are gitprime and code climate plagued with?

Thank you for the links. I found it before as well with some quick googling but I felt the title deceptive after reading the actual studies linked [0] [1]. >>> The sequence of events suggests that the coronavirus may have been tran

There's a big difference between 'yes, is technically possible' to having proof (and therefore certainty) that this is a big factor and a differentiator from other from other viruses.

How would you possibly know reliably they were not in contact with anyone sick?, particularly when being in contact means touching any surfaces where the virus landed hours or it seems even days ago

Discord is also good for that and seems to be taken over teamspeak in some teams I work with. I can't tell really if it's better though since I never used teamspeak.

https://xkcd.com/1314/ I'd stay on the topic at hand. Most people are nobodies at instagram and they just want to share with their friends. I do not have instagram nor post pictures elsewhere, but I also don'

I agree with you, and I think you also agree is not quite effective. It's a factor in deterrence, but we need to do more to understand people that still commits crimes and solve more of the root causes. We won't achieve perfection

I am not advocating a 'justice' system without consequences. You will have consequences. Consequences are just another input into our brains that do help deter some people from some behaviours. I don't kill people because I&#

This . For me believing in free will is just another type of religion. It makes us feel safer and that we're in control. I think is useful for that, but we're deluding ourselves. And I just realized you're being downvoted. H

Is not the same dying at 80 from 'natural causes' than at 35 due to cancer after a grueling experience fighting it. Which is why I don't see how I'd find that comforting if I were diagnosed cancer when still 'young&

I read the explanation you linked. May be I'll be able to digest it better with some more thought, but my initial reaction is that they seem to be splitting hairs. Just like any metaphor, it doesn't fit perfectly, but the authors

Agreed. On the other hand, I'd like to think I'd not take it as a personal attack, but I'd not go as far to say I've not lost anything. Just because my life is insignificant in the grand scheme of things and we all have

Not sure why you're being downvoted. I upvoted you. Those were my exact thoughts when reading. It appears to paint a rosy view of capitalism. As if some pure and moral capitalist rules were in place and they were 'corrupted'
