You really need to watch the video but TL:DR is that Oracle isn't per say evil, it just chases profit like a lawnmower cuts grass. If you get your foot cut off by the lawnmower, it isn't the lawnmowers fault as it wasn't out

While I agree this would be ideal, actual prices on cars actually wouldn't be possible in the US. For many (most?) states, for cars/trucks, you pay sales tax based on where you LIVE not where you purchased the car so the price wo

I think the most common usage in personal home buying is to get from closing of your new home to the closing of your existing home. Usually you want to close on your purchase of a new home a bit earlier then you close on the sale your exist

Same here. Soon after graduation (~y2k) I know another, older EE who just retired early because it just wasn't worth it to work (and his SO made good money). The salary he was going to get with 10 years experience as an EE was about w

Pretty much every EV owner that can plugs in every night. People just do not get how much different an EV is vs gas. Never having to go to a gas station is just SO nice once you never have to do it.

IANAL but I believe another reason to true self host, at least in the US, is that rules for things inside your house have extra protection. Sure they can still get a warrant, but this is a totally different level than what they need to get

Wouldn't disk, memory, network, cache and really anything that could trigger an interrupt also need to be fully deterministic? It seems to me this is really what the jitter dance is measuring to get randomness. It is only reading th

This has been Oracle's business model forever. The price you pay (off base price that is) is based off off the price they estimate you can pay and what it would cost to migrate off to something else. Also, they purchase 3rd party appl

The butter flavor is Diacetyl which can/will form during all fermentation but normally is cleaned up during post fermentation rest. It is also quite cheap just to add to a wine.

I believe this was mostly on the older Model S that didn't have a dedicated coolant pump. It would always run at a fixed speed which was fine for normal usage but not on the track. New Tesla's have added a dedicated small electr

Agreed. After awhile you will always switch modes instantly as long as the keyboard is a different shape. Kinesis to std, no problem, don't even think about it. Kinesis to Model 1 not so much.

There is no reason for dry turkey. It is all about cooking temperature, especially with the white meat. You really want to make sure the white meat never gets above 145 F ish. The easiest way to do this is with sous vide but you can it ot

It doesn't look like it is actually hi-jacking the back button, just a crappy ui. When you go to the site it shows a random screen and the expanded list so you can't actually see the random screen at the bottom. If you do click o
