I first looked into this sort of solution after reading an article about it what must have been 1.5 years ago. We then implemented it for Toptranslation.com (user can create a password or just use a link to login to their dashboard). I also

This is neither a new pattern, nor does it seem to be executed in a particularly interesting way. Am I blasé or am I missing something?

So are you enjoying your new monitor? (Have you tried calibrating both screens? flux should not affect brightness/gamma differently.)

An Android version, please . The clones available all suck. It annoys me that I could run flux on an iPhone, but not my Galaxy Nexus. :/

I've been running it for a few hours now and didn't notice any significant difference on battery life, but I'll keep watching out for it. I'm now reading through the xda thread to maybe get some insight into how this was "determined"...

How does this keep happening to people? No registrar I know has a default of "don't renew", and they send your reminders. Why not just buy the doman for 10 years, or set autorenew, or ... seriously. There is NO excuse for this.

Changing account details or payment data or placing new orders requires separate confirmation via mail or phone anyway, so you'd have to have access to the email account for a chunk of time. If you can do that and prevent your mark from not

We did this on Toptranslation.com as an alternative to the normal password-based login. The thinking is, since password resets go to your e-mail, anyone who has control over your mail or mail server can get into your account anyway. It's a

I am sad that WebOS didn't make it. Not only was it a credible alternative, it was also well thought-out and fun to develop for and hack on. I'm curious what Jolla will turn out to be exactly, but I also wish someone would just go and rev

How does this make sense? If they hash the passwords, they get a fixed length result anyway. Why would they truncate the plaintext before hashing?

Good to know. I saw the mention of Hiss in the readme, but there wasn't really enough detail to judge Hiss vs MountainGrowl.

Sparrow is so close to this. All it's lacking is the all-attachments view and the prioritizing, but you can hack the prioritizing easily enough with Gmail labels. Even then, I don't think that's enough, though. I think e-mail nowadays needs

Because then you have to handle things like route precedence, method routing, "resource" mapping, etc. The `def route` way is very linear, you have one point of entry and that's it, the code just flows from there. With a bunch of `match /xy

The full example app from the tutorial is linked from the blog article, but it was too much code to show inline. Also, the hamburg.io app gives a pretty good overview of what Happy can do. It's also linked from the blog post, or directly:

Padrino is nice, too. It's definitely more mature than Happy, and a little more complex I guess. Now I'm thinking about trying to port the `def route` style dispatch to Padrino, because I still feel that it's superior to the `method url, op

I haven't tried Ramaze, but from a cursory look I find the whole `map ...` thing harder to follow than Happy's route method. It also looks like Ramaze makes you write out more things explicitly, like: Ramaze.start(:root => Ramaze.
