I don't see the relevance to the topic being discussed. The fact remains that the ATF enjoys the ability to unilaterally revise firearm policy well beyond what many find reasonable without a change in law made by Congress.

Also gun laws. Any firearm enthusiast can tell you how inconsistent and incoherent various ATF rulings and determinations have been.

Yeah--though I guess kudos to AWS for not being litigious about it.

That's kind of my takeaway. Nearly all of the visualizations did not show substantial differences between the groups. I was always surprised at how many kids with high numbers of adverse events were in the top group, and vice versa. I

I recently moved to West Virginia (fairly rural state) where there's only one real choice for broadband ISP at my house (Spectrum), and it supports IPv6. AWS just started charging for IPv4 addresses in February of this year, though in

Absolutely. I doubt we'll ever see it, but it'd be really cool to see a blog post or write-up about just how many edge cases they found and had to work around--especially the more obscure ones. Obviously at Apple's scale, som

It's probably quite difficult to boil it down to something as simple as an "off" switch that'll limit costs for them, meaningfully work for all services, not be abused, not be confusing, and not result in the customers t

It's a little off-topic, but I definitely like the throwback to Microsoft FrontPage. I don't know if this page was laid out in it, or it's just the theme, but I haven't seen it in decades. Nice little trip down memory la

I'm not sure they would be. I limited to "west coast" cities because other cities' issues are sometimes blamed on Republican governors. West coast cities typically aren't.

And that's why our west coast cities, which are not run by the half that hates government, are shining beacons of just how effective and successful governments can be.

Was the mayor completely helpless to these phenomena? I mean it's only in hindsight that we can look back and say that these things happened. At the time, they were slowly happening over many years. Surely someone who served as mayor f

Our parents' parents were primarily not paying for day-care. It still seems quite odd to their generation to have mom work to pay for someone else to watch the kids. $2k/mo is a lot, but it can be avoided if one parent stays home.

I don't have strong feelings either way, but I think in practice, the vast majority of parents would choose to have their kids not view it, yet do not have a practical way to enforce that choice.

I trust cloud just fine--I just don't trust unsustainable business models. You can store data on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and pay per GB per month. They price it at a level that's profitable to them, and I pay for it. "Unl
