What are Figma comments and how are they different from regular comments?

I use Chrome a whole lot more than I use any native Windows or macOS app. And when I'm not using Chrome I'm more likely than not still using Chromium (VSCode, Slack, etc). The OS native UI bits are mostly an annoyance at this poin

Google should have a huge advantage in rolling out computer use agents because of their ownership of Chrome. Other agents running in the cloud don't have my passwords and login cookies and history, but Chrome does.

It seems like SpaceX is betting that they can build a rocket that can survive an engine or two blowing up.

They are still testing transpiration cooling for potential use in areas of super high heating but I think they decided a long time ago that the mass penalty of transpiration cooling was much higher than that of ceramic tiles. Nobody knows t

The advantage of steel is the tiles don't have to be as thick and heavy. I don't think they ever claimed it doesn't need a heat shield. HLS is the Starship that never re-enters you're asking for. The problem is it needs

The booster failure was just a result of intentionally pushing to the limit. Doesn't say anything about the broader program. The ship failures are concerning, but SpaceX can afford the retries given the runaway revenue of Starlink. The

Anchor Electronics is totally awesome. Very small but very interesting collection of stuff that you definitely won't find at any other store that still exists in the Bay Area.

It's been more than four years since Fry's closed. I can't believe it took this long to get something better than Best Buy and bigger than Central Computers, in the middle of Silicon Valley of all places!

Porting games to the web is a fun hobby! I've done Quake III [1] and Cave Story [2]. Just like in this story it's all about the details. Getting the game loading is just the start. Things like adding touch controls for mobile, han

As they're described here, Pyrefly's design choices make more sense to me. I like the way Typescript does type inference and it seems like Pyrefly is closer to that. Module-level incrementalism also seems like a good tradeoff. Fin

Most Google engineers have both. Or at least they did when I was there. And Chrome developers in particular do their development primarily on Linux.

Google cares about Chrome Linux support and pays people to work on it, for two reasons. One is Chrome OS, and the other is that most Google engineers use Linux desktops for work.

While WebGPU is supposed to be more efficient, the real appeal is that it supports new features like compute shaders, in a form that Apple will actually agree to implement (they refuse to implement newer versions of OpenGL due to legal disp

Huh, disappointing that it hasn't shipped in Chrome on Linux. There's no pressure for other browsers to implement it when it's not even on all of Chrome's supported platforms yet.

You still need to update your post to include the obviously relevant information that you explicitly gave Google this phone number for the specific purpose of publishing it as public contact information for your business.

Maps business listings are publicly editable and continuously updated by Google from any source they can find. Especially phone numbers. Google employs people to search the Internet all day long for business phone numbers to update on Maps.

I don't believe the phone number in Google Play comes from Business Profile. Business Profile is a Maps thing. The way a phone number gets on the developer page of the Play Store is by you entering it into the Play Store developer cons

So what actually happened is you gave Google your phone number for the specific purpose of publishing it so customers of your business can contact you, and forgot. You should update your post so people aren't misled.

If people paying high prices for tickets makes the event worse, as people seem to believe without evidence, then prices will come down, solving the problem naturally. These arguments make zero sense.

I am unsympathetic when people insist on selling things for the wrong price and then come up with these elaborate schemes for fixing the problems they themselves caused. If they would simply sell tickets for the prices people are willing to

During fine tuning the model does not produce reasoning traces, it consumes them. And the researchers presented it with traces deliberately constructed to be wrong except for the answer at the end. That's easy enough to do.
