Sometimes I think it is perfect. Hard to beat a sunny day on the side of the lake, with a snack and maybe a kid, if you like 'em. There's many other perfect situations, too, like the cover of a river runs through it.

Hey, if you want to do the fishing thing, it doesn't take a month or a national park. Just thought I'd chime in with a simple recipe that will catch you fish about 99 days out of 100: Buy a "cane pole" (they sell non-bam

Start with flask. It's very small and you won't have wasted any time learning it if you later choose not to use it. In reality, you should have both in your toolbelt. I use them both, and at work I use the two equivalents in ruby

I hold the position that Stripe has truly great documentation and should be held up as a standard for other people writing documentation to work towards. I haven't found it to be lacking for any of my use cases.

I was once a certified lifeguard & first responder, and pulled a man from a river during a vacation. He had been underwater several minutes (the man couldn't swim), as he could not be seen--the water was murky & visibility was

In my opinion it's not your job to willingly provide self-incriminating evidence. I have no idea if that legally applies to corporations (particularly in Canada) but this seems like a precaution I would expect every business to take. Y

That's amazing. I guess probably the orientation didn't even matter. So likely, you could seamlessly wear something like that on a patch of skin that stayed out of your way (on your back, perhaps).

Fair enough, but I could have gone into more detail. For every 1 minute that I spend typing code, I probably spend 10+ minutes reading and thinking about code. We're trying to optimize the 10% if we're trying to improve coding by

We have reporting into chat channels as well, but I don't use any other chatbots. Unless Alexa counts, I feed the CIA inaccurate information about my life via her.

I do not think fast typing is a requisite or even usually a "nice-to-have" skill for programming. I'm a professional programmer who types over 100wpm, so maybe I'm overlooking something. I rarely ever find that typespeed

Yep, I have a shop and I get a fair amount of stuff done (when it's warm in there!), but not professionally at all. Still spend my days in this chair.

I would work with my hands. The most exciting thing would be getting out of a chair. IT has hurt my body. I do love creating things, though, so I would ideally be building original creations (I don't want to be a framer or service mech

6/10 It's not the job's fault. Good atmosphere, coworkers, and immediate management. I just want to be doing my own thing. We have had a lot of turnover, though. Perhaps it's not as good for others. Edit: I think the job

I live somewhere else, so I spent closer to 6k on housing (a mortgage, in my case). Next year that will be zero, as it will have been paid off in full after about 3 years. You spend more on uber & lyft than you do on fuel, which is an i

I lost 22lbs since Thanksgiving day. If considered one act, that's probably the thing I'm most proud of in 2017. I learned that my willpower is still there, I've just been failing to exercise it.

I don't know where it gets ordered from, but a place in my town has pizzas that are about $30-$40 and they're worth it. For one, they're just amazing pizza, made by an amazing local entrepreneur, with a cool little pizza shop
