Wouldn't the homes just be as cold as their owners kept them? I don't understand that comparison. If you compared costs to heat, and said American homes were higher-cost, that would make more sense to me.

Hopefully on-topic: Can anyone recommend a drop-in, minimal stylesheet that will make basic HTML (without classes/ids) format well on both web and mobile? In particular, by default stuff is really small on mobile screens, you have to z

You can email dang (the admin) and let him know you promise to behave in the future and he'll lift your ban. I've seen him make the offer dozens of times in threads. Then maybe freshen up on the rules or whatever. I do not think m

Agree; in fact, I'd prefer the restaurant was bringing it themselves, so I only have to deal with the one entity.

I guess I'm referring to general hate. A good political example would be "People voting for ________ are idiots." Same thing in tech; a discussion about why you don't like a family of languages is great. A discussion abo

Toxicity, very off-topic, ad hominem, bad jokes, trolls, me-toos, and low-effort comments are things I downvote. I do not downvote opinions I don't agree with. I often see a well-crafted comment that is being downvoted, and upvote it a

Since you've taken the worst possible interpretation of his comment: He's saying that clojure errors are not user-friendly and give you little idea how to implement a fix. I agree with him, and I have spent a lot of time scratchin

I know this was snarky and probably in violation of site guidelines, but it is my personal opinion that Facebook is the main impetus in the hatred and division between political ideals in the US right now.

I'm a pool player and pretty well versed in the different billiard type games. In Europe they're almost certainly more likely to say "snookered" instead, as 8 ball is not their main sport. US players generally understand

If you can move your tabs to tmux, you will greatly improve your situation. It's easy. Then you can, for instance, make your development machine a dedicated cloud server, like digital Ocean etc. This is what I do and it's very nic

Thought I'd chime in with a recommendation: I bought a "TUL 0.7" (they have other diameters) at home depot and really like it. It has a matte texture with good grip, and overall seems really well built. I've been using i

I put the nozzle to where the tip is as near the top as I can get, then I let it tip and pin itself on the inside. My tank isn't just a hole in the top, there's some kind of metal "basket" in there (2020 XSR 700). I gene
