Where did you find the Spartan 6 support? The page you linked is mostly about Lattice ice40. I see a link to a Spartan 6LX9 reverse engineering project at the end of the page though. I use an LX25.

I find the open toolchains for Lattice a great development, but I don't have any experience with the ice40 devices yet. Do the Lattice targets have SERDES outputs, clock synthesizers? Edit: I highly doubt that this project would be doa

I bought a cheap-ish "Papilio Pro" FPGA board one day and wanted to do see if I could get it to output VGA directly (I did that with Atmel MCUs before for fun). So I installed Xilinx WebPack ISE and looked at various docs online.

Yup. For a new project I'm going with Freescale i.MX6, but I'm really waiting for the first 1+GHz RISC-V chips.

Thanks! Yes, this was my first real FPGA project (good for learning!), I'm still exploring all the possibilities. For example, only around 25% of the LUTs of the FPGA are currently used, so there is even room to put a simple CPU in the

It is a graphics card in the sense of the "ReTargetable Graphics" (RTG) system. I ship drivers for the Picasso96 API (which also emulates the competing CyberGraphX API). All OS friendly Workbench/Intuition GUIs can then be us

This reminds me: Since a while I'm looking for a good configurable proxy solution to clean up/filter the web on my server especially for browsing via old devices (Amiga and such). So I would like to reduce website to their content

Yes, keep it up! I shipped a fragment of something similar in an iOS app a few years ago, allowing my client to customize a complex form component of the app dynamically. It proved very useful.

Have you looked at Bitwig Studio? I recently switched to it from years of Logic use and I actually like it more, even on Linux (it runs on Win/Mac/Linux).

Funny, just today I google on ThunderX boards and tried to track down the latest AMD Opteron A1100 developments. I wish there were simple, stripped down development boards for these kind of processors available. I would certainly enjoy buil

I recently got a Thinkpad T450s after using iBook & MacBooks for 10 years and I'm very pleasantly surprised about build quality and feel.
