Interest rate swaps exist to manage this risk no?

The UK rate is scary. And probably about right. This country is fucked.

Lots of stations have large cycle racks. They just go from office to station and back again.

I think most of the commenters missed this. It should also be taken in the context of the city not being an area many people drive to anyway. Many of these cyclists will have switched from the tube, and many of them will have taken a train

More likely cutting corners and not doing proper analysis. Seeing how Musk operates if they don’t throw the book at him he’ll do it again.

You’re doing both, that’s the point. Too many folks on hacker news see everything in black and white.

KDE is genuinely really good now. As fully featured desktop environments go it’s right up there with the commercial offerings. Unfortunately I’ve moved on and I don’t want that anymore. A minimalist tiling desktop like sway or i3 suits me m

Couldn’t read it anyway because of the ridiculously intrusive ads. Sure, journalists need ads to make money but this way too much.

That’s the normal state of things in Wall Street. Do whatever you can to make money, greed is good etc. They’re not fools though, it only works if there’s some truth in it.

I kinda agree with you but it’s a tough one because what you’re describing is fining the victims of a crime. We don’t fine homeowners who fit cheap locks and get burgled do we. Pragmatically, it might be the right thing to do, but it feels

That’s just him being a good politician. He chose to be better than the other side and be seen to be better. It’s a trade off, in this case the hearts and minds won.

In a war the DoD could just take control of the satellites. If enough men with guns then up at Starlink HQ what is Elon going to do?

I don’t print much, but i do need to print things several times a month, I would definitely miss it. Probably my biggest use case is printing off maps for hiking trips.

Sure, but living in cities has its benefits besides being closer to work and depending on what you want that’s worth the pain. I tend to go into the office two or three days a week and I’ll generally have an evening activity in town on one

When one company, that has a culture of incentivising new features over maintenance, has monopoly control over the web you get a lot of new features. The merits of those features is somewhat irrelevant.

I would expect that number to be higher than reality because when push comes to shove a lot of people are not actually going to quit. But it’s still a surprisingly high number.

Actually it’s worse, it’s full self drive with an actively hostile adversary (the person that wants to keep their car). This is about as tough as it gets for AI.

It’ll still do all the annoying things like disable the air con or make an annoying noise. The full self repossession thing is just another use case for full self drive, which is complete fantasy land on the part of automakers.

This is my situation. I use sway for this reason and it’s just about okay if you’re not on Nvidia. Screen sharing is the main gripe, it’s a pain to configure, involves a lot of different bits of software which have to be orchestrated and no
