Main thing I've noticed is missing/fewer features, rather than outright breakage. Particularly Google meet on Firefox missing the fancy background effects and things like that.

My understanding of safe browsing is that a local database is maintained and lookups happen against that. Eg: no information about the sites you're visiting is leaked. Is this not the case / am I misunderstanding something? Ref:

Nice thanks. The ability to use cloud functions/lambdas is certainly intriguing and something I'd hoped would be possible with temporal when I first discovered it. In a multi-replica / horizontally scaled setup: - Does each r

Do you have anything comparing and contrasting with temporal? I'm particularly interested in the scaling characteristics, and how your approach to durable storage (seems no external database is required?) differs

Great to see that it's no longer a pro only / enterprise feature. I've long left Windows behind for Linux (with very few regrets) but the paywalled FDE was definitely a motivating factor at the time - it felt like a table sta

Another example that particularly riles me is that NextJS forces the "edge runtime" (from Vercel) on middleware even when your server is otherwise running in nodejs. The implication is that you can't do anything that relies o

I'm not an expert on the area, but I've attended some conference talks on the subject at fosdem so I'll give it a go. Essentially you're trying to provide a way to prove that the code running on the machine is what you i

I know Azure has a confidential computing offering for GPUs, which I'm hoping will get broader uptake soon. It seems like the best way to address these concerns to me. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/az

Whilst it's not as expressive/flexible as typespec, and in my experience it's not always well supported by tooling, you can do $ref's across files in openapi specifications. Eg: https://github.com/mnahkie

I added support for typespec as an input specification to my openapi 3 based code generator a couple of days ago. They provide an API to convert to openapi documents so it was pretty painless ( https://github.com/mnahkies

I'm a big fan of big query as well, but the cost can be problematic if you're not careful. Generally speaking I've found it manageable if you make good use of partitioning and do incremental aggregation (we use dbt, though yo

It says you use plaid to access portfolio data, but what does this typically leverage under the hood? Oauth or similar APIs or user/pass + screen scrapping? Is there an option to manually populate your portfolio?
