I've only ever brought one Apple product and it was a refurbished "blackbook" - really was a no brainer, I got the top of the line model for the price of a base model MacBook with no discernible difference in quality. That la

Monzo offers a similar thing, where you can generate a link to send someone to request money. They also have a feature where you can discover nearby users and send money that way. I've found it to be very useful for splitting bills whe

Lightsail is basically an EC2 instance packaged with an ipv4 address, storage and bandwidth to compete with low cost VPS providers. I personally use lightsail for most always on things and then just use ec2 for on demand workloads, because

Can you please clarify what control you are gaining using EC2 over lightsail? (And why it's useful for your stated purpose)

This can be difficult to integrate into CI systems though. I don't recall ever seeing a way to allow interactive input during a CI pipeline to provide a 2FA token. I'd argue that a completely automated release pipeline still trump

How will this work with say typescript? It's pretty common to not commit the transpiled code - do you expect this to change, or would this check basically do a build + pack and then compare?

Pre-lockfiles I had multiple instances of a new version of a dependency being released that didn't follow semver correctly (it can be hard to identify what constitutes a breaking change at times). Without a lockfile this was a pain to

After working with it for a while you get used to the ugliness from prettier, but still I really wish JetBrains would release their formatter as a prettier alternative / competitor.

We actually kinda have this after some serious earthquakes - you (now) always keep some tinned food, bottled water etc and just rotate it out now and then.

Sounds a bit like the plot of parasite. I tend to agree with the other comments though - take away society and the threat of legal consequences and those hired guns have no real reason to be loyal (in most cases)

It can be problematic when you go to look up the account by email address during login and it isn't found due to inconsistent casing. It's technically true that the part before the domain can be case sensitive, but as nobody does

Yeah we did it this way on an app I worked on in the past, try the verbatim input and then a couple of minor variations in casing if it didn't work. I've also found that for email fields you need to be careful to normalize the inp
