The reason I wrote wcap to use for myself is because Game Bar recording is super unreliable for me. I have 144Hz monitor but it records with some weird framerate, typically 36, sometimes some crazy fraction like 36.86 fps. I often want to g

This source code seems tiny - just ~300 lines. What features of c11 do you think would be useful to use there?

Yes. Driver/GPU handles that. It "just works". You just manage things on high level - what can be moved in world, what cannot and group the updates together.

To shoot rays in scene you create acceleration structure (internal to driver/GPU hardware). Input to this structure are vertex & index buffers & model transform matrix. Geometry is specified as triangles or AABB. You can update

On Raspberry "GPU" (VideoCore processor) is the main processor. ARM CPU is secondary in some sense. Here's a good overview: https://thekandyancode.wordpress.com/2013/09/21/how-the-rasp... http

Here's a rationale for this from an author of very popular many single-header libraries: https://github.com/nothings/stb#why-single-file-headers As to how to use from two separate translation units - you need to d

You'll be surprised, but yes - it can be measured. Not even on same computer, but across different computers on Internet, even with all the random latency in the middle. The idea is that you don't measure only once. You measure th

I use TunSafe for something like a year. It is great. Everything is pretty seamless. And with it I get better speeds than OpenVPN when connecting to Linux machine across Atlantic ocean.

I'm using TunSafe every day for a while now. It is great. Thanks! Without any extra tuning I see much better speeds than OpenVPN - something like 20MB/s vs 5MB/s when transferring between EU and US locations.

That is not quite true. You don't need to use GCC __builtin functions for this. GCC supports SSE1 intrinsics like _mm_rsqrt_ss exactly same as MSVC - it is declared in xmmintrin.h header. Just include it and _mm_rsqrt_ss/ps will b

"Simple encoding" doesn't mean its RISC. There are simple encoding instruction sets that are CISC. For example - PDP-10, it has fixed size, simple encoding, but is "classically" known as CISC. CISC vs RISC for moder

I would not call ARM a RISC. What is RISC in your opinion? Lack of memory addressing except load and store? Not true for ARMv8.1. Lack of microops? ARM1 (from 1985) has microops.
