If you'd like to properly remap move to next/previous word and other commands in Mac OS X, I'd recommend Karabiner (which was previously called KeyRemap4Macbook). https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/ I

AFAICT, the Chrome multiple tab drag to separate into a new window doesn't work on Mac OS X, only on Windows (and Linux?). This one really hurts me every time I need it on the Mac. What's even more frustrating is that multiple tab

Awesome. I've been using Mongoose with MongoDB with my latest Node project, but I've really wanted to take a closer look at RethinkDB. Thinky reaching 1.0 might just be the catalyst to do so.

Just curious... you said your best result was "applying directly" after seeing a company on CL, but that emailing the company after seeing on CL was not as successful. In this instance, does "applying directly" mean you

You can't npm install <foo> without getting an error message about the self-signed cert. At least until you update npm, which you usually do with npm update -g npm , but that will also fail with the same error. Fun! The blog p

Not disagreeing with your point, but I chuckled a bit at your examples. I wouldn't qualify either Facebook or Windows as being "first to market". Though I think this mainly just points out the squishiness of the term.

Wow, okay. I knew some of the bigger sites supported SPDY, but I didn't realize that the browsers outside of Chrome were already supporting SPDY (and HTTP2) as well. So (pardon my ignorance, I googled a bit but didn't find very co

I'm not an expert, but I was under the impression that Windows 8.1 is already rolling back some of the changes from Win 7 -> 8. I'd imagine MS will do a bit more of that and fix some bugs, and for the most part people will just

Yeah, I think that would be better. I guess for me personally the perfect solution would be a 12-hour clock that operates on the same principles as the European 24-hour (which I think is the same as the military clock?). So 00:00 to 11:59,

That the clock starts at 12 has annoyed me for quite a long time (i.e., 12PM comes before 1PM). I kind of wish that non-military usage also used 0:00-11:59, if only for the logical consistency of it. Alternatively we could just switch 12PM
