For those of us that use all 3 of those, your statement is in large part true. I'd also hazard that Mongodb isn't actually that popular outside the HN buzz bubble.

The hstore enhancements coming in psql 9.4 will pretty much put mongo out to pasture. "Mongodb" already nearly exists as a single column type, 9.4 will complete it.

I'm very excited to put my 3m documents into hstore, as they are currently in a horrible, unqueryable, unwritable (mostly) blobs of compressed, b64encoded serialized ruby hash structures (long story, predating nosql). This makes me ver

The military exists on the backs of the young. [Edit: I was once young too, I don't hold it against anyone. Nothing more heartbreaking than a 19y/o with the 1000 yard stare (which I've personally witnessed.)]

Hear hear. When I was cooking (at a fancy place) years ago, the waitstaff used to walk home with $500 in (unlikely to be declared) cash after a 4 hour shift on a good night. I walked home with $90, for my 11 hours of humping shit, and paid

I would say SD would be friendlier. They actively advertise in the Minneapolis area boasting of their business friendly government. They'd completely go for something like this, but then, nobody'd want to live anywhere in SD. Ever.
